Your Partner on the Path to Recovery
It takes courage to seek help for Substance Use Disorders (SUD’s), also referred to as chemical dependency, drug/alcohol dependence or drug/alcohol addiction. But you are not alone.
The MultiCare South Sound Substance Use Disorder program, consisting of Greater Lakes Mental Health Care and MultiCare Behavioral Health, is committed to working with you on every step of your recovery journey.
Why Choose Us
The South Sound Substance Use Disorder program offers one of the largest treatment programs in Pierce County, serving our community since 2011.
We offer:
- Person-centered care: Recognizing that every person takes a different path to recovery, we will work with you on individualized treatment plans that achieve your goals and honor your journey.
- Confidentiality: Like all our mental health programs, our SUD program offers the strictest level of confidentiality.
- Expertise: Our team of state-certified Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP’s) have expert knowledge of SUD’s, treatment planning and relapse prevention. Our team is highly qualified to support you on your recovery journey.
How We Help
We provide services with two levels of care: outpatient and intensive outpatient SUD treatment. If you require inpatient services, we will refer you to an appropriate external program. An initial assessment will help you to decide which level is best for you. We also offer court-ordered SUD counseling.
We provide collaborative services that meet you where you are and help guide you where you want to go. We partner with you and other professionals to build a comprehensive plan that will give you the highest likelihood of success. Treatment options and strategies may include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with medical providers to coordinate Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) when indicated for opioid and/or alcohol SUD’s.
- Referral to withdrawal management services
- Abstinence-based models, i.e., AA, NA, etc.
- Relapse prevention
- SUD education
- Individual and group counseling
- Harm reduction strategies
- Mindfulness and art therapy
